Privacy Policy for Bodhi Training

Bodhi Training is handling some of your personal information in connection with your participation in the education. Bodhi Training is a continuous education service provided by Rangjung Yeshe Sangha Association (Foreningen Rangjung Yeshe Sangha).

It is in compliance with EU´s and Danish Dataprotection Regulation GDPR, that regulates how personal information is handled and stored.

What is personal information?

Personal information is any form of information that directly or indirectly can be associated to a particular person. That might be information as name, address, economy, family status etc.

Handling personal information is any usage or handling of personal information. Typical forms of handling data covers: collecting, registration, organizing, storing, sharing, co-pooling and deleting.

Who is responsible for data retention?

Bodhi Training is an education within the Rangjung Yeshe Sangha Association who is responsible for your information.

Which information is handled by Bodhi Training and for what purpose?

Bodhi Training collects and handles information about your name, address and e-mail in order to administrate the educational process and to communicate with you. You will in course of the education work out some written assignments, personal reflections, that you upload to a Google drive administered by Bodhi Training within Rangjung Yeshe Sangha Association. The written reflections will be available to read by other students and teachers in order to inspire and facilitate mutual development. The reflections are only available for other students at the same course as you. Besides co-students only volunteers and teachers have access. Personal information contained within the written reflections will be treated in compliance with before mentioned.

The legal basis 

In order for Bodhi Training to provide the educational process that you have applied for, we must treat your information as before mentioned.

The legal basis for this is Databeskyttelsesforordningen, art. 6, litra b.

When you sign up for the course you consent to our treatment in compliance with this policy. As for consent with data used for inspiration, mutual development and preparation for the teachings, the legal basis is Databeskyttelsesforordningen, art. 6, litra a, concerning explicit consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any given moment.

Sharing data

Bodhi Training does not pass your personal information to any third party. Some of your information will, however, be accessible to other participants.

Your rights

You have certain rights, when Bodhi Training handles your personal information. You can read more detailed about it below. If you want to exercise those rights you must contact us.

Right of notification

Bodhi Training is obliged to notify you if and when the Danish Tax Administration (Skatteforvaltingen) collects and handles your personal information. You are entitled to about the purpose and legal basis for this. 

Right to gain access

You have a right to access in Bodhi Trainings handling of your personal information. This means that you have the right to get confirmed whether your information is being handled and of further information about the timeframe within which the information is stored or who it is shared with.

Right to rectification

You have the right to have any incorrect information about yourself corrected.

Right to erasure

You have the right to have your information deleted before our automated general erasure happens.

Right to restricted processing 

You have, in some cases, the right to have the processing of your data restricted. If you exercise that right, we can only process limited data - apart from storage - if we have your consent or if we need protect a third person. 

Right to objection

You have in particular cases the right to object to our - otherwise lawful - handling of your personal information, for instance concerning special conditions regarding your person.

Right to dataportability

You have, in some cases, the right to receive your personal information in a structured commonly used and readable format and to have data transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.

Erasure

We will delete your information 10 years after completing the course. We store the information in this period to improve the education, so that material like the written reflections can be available for you and your fellow students on related and subsequent Bodhi Training courses. You can always ask us to delete your reflections or other personal data. If you want to have your information deleted before this time you have to retract your consent to our handling of your data.

Complaints to Datatilsynet

You have the right to file a complaint at the Datatilsynet, if you are not content with the way the Danish Tax Administration process your personal information. Datatilsynet is the central independent authority that oversees that the legal basis of handling personal information is complied to.

Legality 

Several laws regulate the handling of personal information. The rules are meant to protect the legal rights and the individual freedoms in handling personal information.

General rules regarding personal information can be found in EU´s Databeskyttelsesforordning and the Danske Databeskyttelseslov (passed 17. may 2018).
